Driving Directions

From Green Bay take US 41 North thru Menominee, turn Right onto Route 35 and follow Lake Michigan to Escanaba.  Continue on US 2 (and 41 and 35) thru Escanaba and Gladstone, turn left at US 41 before Rapid River towards Marquette and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, turn Right on Route 67 at Trenary, turn Right again at Route 94  just before Chatham, and Left at Forest Lake Road (H03).  Continue thru the forest, down the hill about five miles, at the bottom of this long hill, with Au Train Lake on your right, Paulson House is on your left.  Turn left into the broad driveway at the bottom of the hill. 

From the Lower Peninsula, cross the Mackinac Bridge and make your way over to M28 West.  From the Bridge routes can go thru Sault Ste Marie on I-75, or Tahquamenon Falls State Park on Route 123, or scenic Route 2  along Lake Michigan thru Blaney Park and Seney National Wildlife Refuge.   From Munising, continue West on M28 thru Christmas to the Au Train yellow blinker light, about 14 miles, turn left at the light and continue two and one half miles inland to Au Train Lake.  Paulson House is on the Right; turn into the broad driveway.
